Impression Studio: Publishing Unbound, Poster Zine Research and Brief

Over the course of the first term the students working in the impression studio have each been asked the create an edition of 25 A5 poster zines containing an article about innovation in the publishing industry. The poster zine also had to fold out to reveal a typographic poster that could coincide with the theme of the article. There were a few specifications the zine had to have a front cover with a title of our choice it also had to incorporate the impression studio manifesto and a binding system to accompany the zines. Impression Studio: Publishing Unbound, Magazine analysis workshop

 

Today in our studio we met with Angharad to discuss and analyse magazine articles and covers. The first thing we did was to go through the anatomy of a magazine and talked about the content (names of things) on the cover and in articles.
