I thought about what had gone wrong in the last video and also thought about different ways that I could after effects to create a well edited gif. I have had my first attempt filming the ash being blow off my road poster but this hasn’t work well. After many attempts to blow the ash off myself, by fanning it with card and using an automatic fan. Now that I had chosen to work with the schmalfette font I began creating my screen printed poster. I bought 10 sheets of cartiridge paper at 150 gsm and got my screen ready for printing. To try and capture a more dystopian feel to the type I basically used a power hose to clean the emultion from the screen and made sure to try and blast extra bits off around the letters and then I added some extra emultion to randomly block certain parts. After finally getting the letter forms and quote to look the way I wanted I continued using the images of carnivorous plants to try creating different backgrounds for my poster.
Now I knew I wanted to create a glow in the dark poster so I decided to work with the quote “War is Peace, Freedom is Slavery, Ignorance is Strength” I wanted the poster to simply show the words peace freedom and strength as the original image and then the glow in the dark text would read War Slavery Ignorance.
I now had all of my bleach letter forms photographed so I used the pictures in photoshop to make them into silhouette forms and then accumulated them into the quote “When I die don’t bury me at all just pickle my bones in alcohol” Continue reading FMP: Day of the Triffids Editing Bleach Letters
